Ham radio? Are they still doing that? Yes! So much so that I couldn’t help but write about it. It was amazing what I discovered after returning to the hobby in retirement. I got into it as a 12-year-old kid and it became the catalyst for my lifelong career in electronics. As I explain in my book, I thought ham radio died because of technology. Boy, was I wrong. To my surprise, I found the hobby to be thriving and growing. The very thing that lead me into a livelihood, turned out to be one of the best retirement hobbies ever.
